A Graduation BBQ

This past Saturday we went to our nephew's high school graduation BBQ - boy does that make me feel old!  Saying I am thirty doesn't phase me but seeing pictures of the baby who's diaper I changed and the little tyke that I babysitted many afternoons at his high school graduation really made me think about how quickly time passes.  I am so proud of what he has accomplished (art awards in junior high, high school wrestling leader, etc) and yet I can't believe it- it seems like yesterday that he was running around my apartment in Iowa City while I was in baby sitting the three kids. 

The party was fantastic- very friendly, a beautiful Iowa night, and just a good time.  We took our camera with us and practiced standing back to try and get those "moment" shots.  And yet- we didn't take many and somehow missed the guest of honor!  (oops!!)  Anyways, I created a set on flickr and am pasting the slideshow below - enjoy!
