Busy Busy Busy

So this summer so far has been incredibly busy. I am taking a summer course and it is just about killing me with the amount a work to get through each week. The good thing is that tomorrow is the half way point so I can see relief approaching. It hasn't help that I am busy as ever at work. I started a new project 2 weeks ago that is very heavy on the meeting side. So I am now managing 3 projects and am not about to complain... in professional services it is better to be busy than slow!

Today I went to the Chicago Antique Market with a friend. I found a really cool vintage chair in perfect condition... therefore I would have been able to give up my 1/4 claim to the pink chair... but the idiot had the chair half under a tarp and half in the rain. So since I wasn't sure that I would be able to keep it from smelling moldy I passed. I am sure my sisters would have been happy for me to relenquish my attempted claim to the highly prized pink chair, but alas it was not meant to be. We will have to continue squabbling over that '60's chair.

Yesterday I surprised Dan with a nice relaxing date night. I preordered picnic baskets from Fox and Obel, which is quite possible the coolest grocery store/market. Then we headed to Millineum Park for their concert in park series and listened to Mozart while we ate. It was such a perfect night for it too. Not humid at all and warm without making you sweat.

Last weekend we went to Poochapolooza, hosted by PAWS. That was just a blast, the dogs had so much fun. There were around 100 other dogs there for them to say hi too and check out. Dan and I people watched while Eddie and Shelby doggie watched! It was really a cool event and I hope they have it again next year.

I also was in my very first photo shoot last Friday for a jeans advertisement. That was really cool to be part of- quite the experience. Now I guess we will wait to see if I am stuck in the last row! Even so I can now say that I was in an ad!

So as you can see we have been quite busy around here the for the past month. At least it has been an enjoyable summer so far... we will see how July goes!
